High in the Šar Mountains, a family of shepherds negotiates with wolves, borders and the future.
For generations the same family has driven its flock up the same slopes, crossing a border that keeps changing its name. Seliškar spends four seasons with them — through blizzards, births and one unforgettable wedding — composing a widescreen love letter to a vertical way of life.
The mountain of the title is not a metaphor. It is a neighbour, an employer and an ancient, indifferent god.

We carried the camera up 2,200 metres more times than I can count. Every time, the mountain was already there first. This film is about learning to accept second place.
